Due to its construction, heat dissipation from the pole windings is difficult (air gap between rotor and stator). This reveals the system's limitations, especially with driving profiles involving longer and\/or steeper inclines. At slower rotational speeds, the motor increasingly loses cooling capacity and runs the risk of thermally \u201esuffocating\u201c (thermal runaway). Stromer prevents this with so-called Thermal Throttling \u2013 a reduction of support from the controller. With the tool \u201e<a href=\"https:\/\/ebikes.ca\/tools\/trip-simulator.html\">trip simulator<\/a>\u201cthe temperature development can be simulated using corresponding characteristic data (nominal voltage, max. battery current, gradient, etc.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/wp.stromer-tech.info\/en\/knowledge-base\/motor-overheats\/\">See<\/a> Also PROBLEMS \u2192 ENGINE \u2192 \u201eEngine overheated \/ temperature warning\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"95e222c5-beb5-4de6-ad28-c6cf2bb1fdd7\">Power, torque, peak power, rated power and co. explained<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"158fa71c-edad-4159-a556-0e113eb596ed\">The peak power and torque figures of engines are repeatedly advertised prominently.
