The built-in Racktime luggage rack fits nicely into the Stromer design, but does not always meet the needs. With a Maximum load between 17 - 22.5 kg<\/strong>Depending on the Stromer model, you can load a lot, but the storage space is rather small.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For individual conversions, it is advisable to consult the relevant road traffic office and have the conversion registered.

The maximum system weight for Stromer is 140 kg (26\u2033 models) or 150 kg (27.5\u2033 models). Heavy riders and a large payload will quickly break this limit. The construction also tends to break at the support point on the mudguard if too much is regularly loaded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can find some creative conversions on the net which are more stable and offer larger packing areas. (li.o. and others from McPringle<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are also commercially available conversions or additions for more loading space, such as 'PACKI the bike basket' from velokiste.ch<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another option is to print an enlarged edition in the 3D printer using the old\u00a0Snap-it adapters<\/a>\u00a0can be mounted on the Racktime if required. A version with the correct holes (W x H = 100 x 195mm) can be found for 3D printing at\u00a0Thingiverse.com<\/em>\u00a0here.\u00a0<\/a>The plate would have to be optimized for fastening openings for tension belts and\/or weight savings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
