If the charging process does not start, check the charger plug and the charging socket in the Stromer. See the yellow info box below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The battery is deeply discharged<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/wp.stromer-tech.info\/en\/article-categories\/problems\/\">See<\/a> Regarding this, the chapter: PROBLEMS \u2013 Battery, Accumulator \u2013 <em>,Battery not charging - deeply discharged?\u2018<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Solutions for \u201eConnectivity Issues\u201c<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Connect the charger and start the Stromer. If it switches off again after removing the charger, remove the battery and check the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-alert\">Clean the contacts\/socket with a lint-free cloth or compressed air.<br>Verwende keine Kontaktsprays, Fette, die \u00abAllzweckwaffe\u00bb WD-40-Multifunktions Smart-Straw oder mechanische Werkzeuge.<br><br>For corrosion on the socket or charging connector, use isopropyl alcohol and a fiberglass brush for cleaning.<br><br>Die Pins des Ladeger\u00e4tsteckers und der Akkufachbuchse sind gefedert und k\u00f6nnen durch mechanische Werkzeuge leicht besch\u00e4digt werden. Ist ein Pin defekt, muss die Buchse oder der Stecker ersetzt werden. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"a5b5e310-faea-4bb9-bc8e-a01118c31920\">For models with an electromagnetic battery lock, please note the following. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol id=\"2ecb927b-2f5c-4758-991a-c81ec0d841b4\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>With firmware 4.4.1.2 (03\/09\/2023), a new \u201eEJECT\u201c symbol has been added to the charging screen (see below). Tapping it unlocks the battery, and the battery compartment can be opened using the eject button. If Smart Lock is active, the Omni-PIN will be requested beforehand. <br><br>If only \u201eBATTERY CHARGING\u201c is displayed, an old firmware (&lt; 4.4.1.2) is still installed. Tap the battery symbol \u201eCHARGE STATUS.\u201c The prompt asking if the battery compartment should be opened should now appear. Tap \u201eYES.\u201c.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remove the battery and go through the points in the yellow info box. Insert the battery and close the compartment with a bit of force. The Stromer must be taken to the dealer to have the battery compartment opened mechanically and the contacts checked (see Emergency Opening and Tip below).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Battery blocked, cannot be removed<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To check the contacts, they must be accessible. If the Stromer starts but the battery cannot be ejected, there can be three reasons for this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you don't hear a mechanical click when pressing EJECT or YES, the magnetic switch of the eject mechanism (front base) may be defective.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you hear the mechanical clicking when you press EJECT or YES, then press the EJECT button on the top tube on the right, and the battery does not eject, the spring or the ejection lever of the ejection mechanism (front base) may be broken.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A third possibility is that the battery is stuck in the compartment due to loose battery compartment mounting screws. On some models, cable covers are also installed in the battery compartment. If such a cover becomes loose, it can block the battery in the compartment.<br><br><a href=\"https:\/\/wp.stromer-tech.info\/en\/knowledge-base\/broken-battery-ejector-handle\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/wp.stromer-tech.info\/de\/knowledge-base\/akku-auswurfbuegel-gebrochen\/\">See<\/a> also PROBLEMS \u2013 Battery, accumulator \u2013<em> \u201aBattery cannot be removed - Frontbase defect.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In all cases, you must try to open the battery cover mechanically. You can use a thin spatula or a screwdriver, with which you try to carefully pry open the compartment between the battery compartment rubber seal and the down tube.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"c7aad6c4-e989-49d3-821d-58c8281336f9\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Special case ST7<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"0e82fb5d-25a7-4b62-9df1-b835bf3279be\">The Stromer ST7 no longer has a mechanical eject button. To eject the battery, you need to press the EJECT symbol on the OMNI display. This will unlock the battery. The solution is simple: the battery compartment cover does not engage when the battery compartment is empty, but remains unlocked and can be opened with your fingertips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"0e9e6d01-2269-4690-b8c6-eac7c71e5b86\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Emergency opening and tip<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"8417d316-72d5-4842-8cc4-65277c4816a5\">If the battery cannot be removed and the Stromer still doesn't start after following the above steps, you must contact your dealer. To avoid compromising the anti-theft protection, instructions for emergency opening of the battery compartment will not be published here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-success\"><strong>Tip:&nbsp;<br><\/strong>To identify any potential problems when starting the e-scooter, the following startup procedure will help:<br><br>Insert battery into the Stromer<br>2. do not close the compartment<br>3. start the Stromer. If everything is normal, close the battery compartment<br><br>The same can be done when shutting down. First, open the battery compartment via EJECT, then shut down the Stromer.
