To steer the discussion about Stromer in the right direction, the intended use of a Stromer needs to be considered. Stromer bikes are not MTBs, not \u201emountain goats,\u201c or gravel bikes. They are designed and constructed for fast commuting from A to B. Commuter bikes are not about a 50g weight saving on the derailleur, nor are they about full carbon frames. However, safety is paramount, as 45 km\/h is not 25 km\/h. The bikes are therefore quite heavy \u2013 massively constructed \u2013 and have powerful braking systems.
