A reed contact is installed on each brake lever to control the brake light and recuperation via the brake levers. To avoid malfunctions of recuperation, a brake lever must first be pulled about 1\/3 before it engages. If the lever is pulled further, the hydraulic brake engages.<\/p>\n\n\n

Control and adjustment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Stromer has published a Service bulletin<\/a> describes how to make the setting and how to check the function of the reed contacts. The test is carried out via the Service menu<\/a>but can also be checked visually. The reed contacts also operate the brake light via the Omni. If this lights up when a lever is pulled, the respective reed contact on the left or right switches correctly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
