Schlumpf recommends lubricating the gearbox once a year with 1-2 ml of the special lubricant 'MoS2-Fliessfett'. The chainring can be checked for lateral play every 5,000 to 10,000 km. Attention: only lateral play of the chainring, not to be confused with axial play of the axle, which protects the industrial ball bearings from axial load.
