With the introduction of the 'Pirelli Cyle-e' (ST5) and 'Pirelli Cyle-e ST' (ST3) tires specially manufactured for Stromer, pictures soon appeared in forums showing blistering and cracks in the rim bead. The problems were mostly due to quality problems on the part of Pirelli, but also to under-inflation or overloading.
The tires were usually replaced under warranty for affected current customers. In the meantime, the tires are no longer in the range and have been replaced by their successors. Pirelli Angle ST Urban and Pirelli Angle ST Sport replaced.
