I now also have firmware 4.3.4.1 and have made the following observations regarding unlocking after switching on: If the cell phone is out of range when the Stromer is switched on and I then bring it within range, the Stromer is unlocked immediately. You may have to wait 3-5 seconds after the Stromer has obviously finished booting, but then it always works.

Details: The Bluetooth sensitivity on my ST3 is set so that it detects my cell phone at a distance of approx. 1 meter. If I move it out of this "circle of trust" while the Stromer is unlocked, it is automatically locked after 20 seconds. If I now move the cell phone back within range, the Stromer is unlocked immediately. When I boot the Stromer, there are two options. 

First: Keep the cell phone out of reach during the booting process and only then connect it to the Stromer (e.g. place it on the SP Connect holder). 

Secondly: Take the cell phone out of range for at least 20 seconds and then bring it back. I have tested this behavior several times and it has worked 100% so far. 

I have set the range (or 'DISTANCE' in the corresponding OMNI Bluetooth menu) to 2 units below the center. With my ST3 and cell phone model, an increase of one unit causes the range to increase from 1 meter to 10 meters.

Difference between classic (legacy) Smartlock and Smartlock via the Omni app (Riding Display)

Stromer introduced the 'Riding Display' with FW SUI 4.4.3.4 from 7.2.2024. This makes it possible to manage and use Smartlock via the Omni app.

In contrast to the classic Smartlock via the OMNI:

• If the sensitivity control has only 3 gradations instead of 10: Near - Medium - Far
• The Omni app must at least be running in the background for Samrtlock to work.
• In the Bluetooth settings, the Stromer is constantly listed as "Connected", which was not the case with the classic Smartkock

Does it work?
Samrtlock no longer works with my iPhone 15 after the FW update 4.5.0.3 (05-03-2025). Bluetooth does not connect automatically in the BT settings, even if the Omni app is running in the foreground.
