Many Stromer models have the classic Stromer U as the daytime running light installed in the front control head. Generally, this is not prone to errors in the statistics.
A source of error is condensation, which accumulates on the front transparent LED cover and can damage the electronics.
Another issue is the cable pass-throughs into the DRL (Daylight Running Light). In their installed position, they are partially not at the bottom but at the top, allowing water to enter the interior along the cables through the respective glands.
Both problems can affect the electronics and lead to the failure of individual LEDs or the entire daytime running light.
Repair is possible if you are familiar with SMD soldering techniques, but it is hardly worth the effort. A new TF light costs between €60 and €99, depending on the model.
