I don't think the mounting of the button ring on the handlebars is ideal. You have to reach up with your thumb to switch the light or the gears. You can turn the ring downwards or through 180° (headlight easier to reach), but this offers little optimization.
I have moved the button ring to the left side brake lever. With a slight lateral movement of the index finger, I can now easily switch the recuperation on and off, its levels and the headlight. The thumb remains down and the handlebars firmly in my grip.
