A reed contact is fitted to each brake lever to control the brake light and recuperation via the brake levers. To avoid malfunctions of the recuperation, a brake lever must first be pulled by approx. 1/3 until it responds. If the lever is pulled further, the hydraulic brake responds.

Control and adjustment
Stromer has published a Service bulletin describes how to make the setting and how to check the function of the reed contacts. The test is carried out via the Service menubut can also be checked visually. The reed contacts also operate the brake light via the Omni. If this lights up when a lever is pulled, the respective reed contact on the left or right switches correctly.
Replacement
A defect is very rare. The reed contact can only be purchased together with the brake lever.
