Smartlock was and is a convenient way to unlock the Stromer. Since its introduction, however, it has suffered from a certain life of its own. This is mainly due to the Bluetooth technology used. It was not originally designed for precise distance measurement and is correspondingly inaccurate.
Stromer kept trying to improve the function. However, the limitations of the BT version installed in the Omni set limits. Even moving the function to the Omni app or the Riding Display did not bring a breakthrough.
The good news is - there is an alternative that comes very close to the interaction-free Smartlock. We are talking about NFC tags with the help of which, as well as the "always with you" smartphone, an almost equivalent function can be achieved.
