Battery - flap does not close

The battery door on the Stromer does not always seal properly with the frame. Although there is a circumferential seal that makes it difficult for water to penetrate, it cannot be ruled out. If this happens, the water can reach the battery base. This usually leads to corrosion, resulting in connection problems with the CAN bus, the 12 or 48 V power supply, or even short circuits.

Mechanical repair attempts or heat treatment usually do not solve the problem. Either buy a new flap or make do with a workaround. A universal Velcro strap is ideal for this. This can be used to bring the lid into the correct position so that it is flush with the frame.

Velcro tape (50 x 3 cm) is available from a DIY store or from Van Zijp Techniek - 3D print service - the Dutch specialist for Stromer 3D gadgets.
