The electric/electronic anti-theft measures of the Stromer are certainly a protection against 'quick theft', but not a problem for the professional.
Every lock fitted is an additional hurdle against theft. Thieves weigh up the time involved against the reward. The longer it takes to pick a lock, the more likely it is that a thief will switch to another bike.
So-called 'gift straps' (cable locks) are not recommended for securing an expensive Stromer, such as this one Example shows. Even for professionals, the thick U-locks such as the ABUS Granit X Plus or KRYPTONIGHT Evolution or the latest generation, the LiteLok X1/X3 or Hiplok D1000. This is not a quick job, i.e. it takes less than 60 seconds. The necessary battery flex makes a lot of noise and Lock picking at a high level is time-consuming and not for the occasional thief.
Even the most popular folding locks have a crucial weak point in the most solid version, the so-called links. Like a Test as the ABUS Bordo shows, they can be cracked silently with a bolt spreader.

With the ABUS GRANIT Super Extreme 2500 a lock seems to have come onto the market that meets the Flex and other tests exists. However, the price is steep (270 - 330 €). You also have to make sure that the attachment to the bike and the object to be attached is just as stable as the lock itself!
Conclusion: All anti-theft measures combined make the difference. You shouldn't skimp on an expensive electric bike. A drawback is the price, weight, and size of the locks.
