Display V1 / V1.1

Before the OMNI SW came onto the market in 2014, Stromer bikes had an LCD display on the handlebars for ride management. There are two display versions, the V1 and V1.1.

Operating instructions

The multilingual operating instructions can be downloaded from the myStromer AG website. here can be downloaded.

PIN code

The factory-set locking code is 1234, but it can also be different (e.g. for used cars) as it can be changed individually (see operating instructions p. 10).

Pin assignment

5-pin plug:
1. GND (ground) / pink
2. TX UART (Transmit data) / Yellow
3rd BAT (36 V IN KEY) / blue) - signals that the battery is connected
4. PWR_OUT (36 V > 5 V, if display ON) / White
5. RX UART (Receive data) / Green

3-pin plug:
It is connected to the right brake lever and is used to tap the so-called 'brake sensor'. The contact, designed as a normally open contact, gives the signal for the recuperation mode.
SIN: red
GND: white

Processor / Communication / FW updates

Display codes 

The basic settings (time, password, sensor sensitivity, etc.) on the display are not as user-friendly as on the Omni. They are accessed via codes.

First of all: It is not possible to tune the maximum speed, whatever is set with the codes!
