Normal operation The location of the Stromer is not live tracking like a navigation system. The position is determined periodically every few minutes. This explains why the displayed position – for example, at home – is not accurate to within a few meters, but can deviate significantly. The last determined position of the Omni is always shown.
Theft mode The situation is different when it comes to theft. In this case, the bike reports its location to the server every few seconds, which enables much more accurate tracking. Additionally, most Omni models (see „Omni-Option-Matrix“ herethe rear wheel locks, the headlight flashes, the horn sounds, and the display shows that the bike has been stolen. Additionally, a notification is sent to the registered email address.

After the update to G4, the Omni shows a location in Ticino instead of the Swiss Plateau! Please go into more detail about possible causes! (Upgrade message is constantly displayed and the app then hangs in google maps).
The Omni itself cannot display a location. I think you mean the Omi app on your smartphone? I would uninstall the app completely and reinstall it from the Playstore. This should at least solve the update problem and the hangs in Google Maps. If the Omi app still shows the Stromer in Ticino, you need to go to the dealer. Have them take a look at it.
