36 V chargers
Stromer offers/offered various Batteries and chargers This requires distinguishing between the chargers for the old 36V Stromer models (ST1, V1, V1.1) and the 48V models.
The 36V models were equipped with chargers from HHigh Phorsepower8204 L3 and HP0180 WL3). The battery uses a 4-pin XLR charging connector. An adapter (Art. No. 213438) is required to charge the battery outside the bike. The Stromer model currently sold is the CN190 (CN140/CN160) with 36 V / 4 A output.

Alternativen zum CR 245 / 246 (48-V-Modelle)?
Das Schweizer Startup KOULOMBUS baute um 2020/2021 das Stromerladegerät Silent X-1 (S1-x). Es ging auf eine Idee von Pascal Clement, einem Elektronik- und Software-Ingenieur mit einer Leidenschaft für Herausforderungen, zurück. Im Jahr 2016 und unzufrieden mit dem ursprünglichen Ladegerät für sein Stromer E-Bike, entwickelte er ein elegantes und intelligentes Design für ein neues E-Bike-Ladegerät, das er REVolts Silent X1-Charger nannte. Ein Kickstarterprojekt 2019 war nicht erfolgreich, dennoch wurden ein paar Geräte in einer Vor- und Prototypenserie produziert. Aus den X1 wurde zuerst das S1.1 und dann das S1.2, welches für CHF 490 gekauft werden konnte. KOULOMBUS stellte nach kurzer Zeit den Betrieb ein und mit neueren FW-Updates der BQ-Akkus funktionierten auch die Ladegeräte nicht mehr. SoH und SoC auslesen funktionierte aber weiterhin.

Alternativen zum HP0180 WL3 / HP8204 L3 (36-V-Modelle)?
The chargers for the 36V batteries come from the manufacturer High Power. Since they do not use CAN bus communication, they are simpler in design than the CR series. Alternatives can be found with a bit of searching, for example, the Enerpower (3A), the E-Bike Vision (4 A) or the 42V 4A XLR 4-pin plug charger for 36V Stromer ST 1 e-bike - TD Hitech System eBay.
Fast chargers?
Fast charging in the sense of CCS, as with electric cars, is not available for the 48 V models and would also be detrimental to the lifespan of the batteries. All Stromer chargers gently charge the batteries using the CC/CV method within a time frame of 3.5–7.5 hours, depending on the model. For the 36 V models, there are alternative providers with higher charging currents, but they also do not offer fast charging.

Repair
There is no official repair option through Stromer. Furthermore, no circuit diagrams are available for Stromer chargers. Defective devices can officially only be replaced with a new device after the warranty expires.
The devices are not irreparable. However, since they need to be opened for repair, only qualified personnel should handle them. There are also repair services, such as the provider Mstonys. The serosity should be checked beforehand.
Possible errors:
Replacement plug for the charger?
Improper handling of the charging plug can cause it to malfunction. Corrosion or mechanical damage can prevent the charging of the power battery.
A replacement is possible. A potential dealer for Rosenberger plugs and sockets ist z. B. die MOUSER electronics. Als DIY kann man sich auch ein Wicket Cable (Stromer Art. No. 402336) and convert it into a charging plug.
