Status, warning and error messages (analyze)

Status messages - symbols

Status displays, notes, warning or error messages and/or error codes are displayed in the Omni.

Example: If the yellow warning triangle appears during a long climb, this is usually the engine temperature warning. This is displayed when the engine has reached 135/140 °C on my ST3. At 150 °C, the Stromer switches off and I have to let the engine cool down. The warning triangle disappears again.

Error messages are usually also stored in the error memory, which can be accessed via the Service menu (Error List) can be viewed.

Notes

Sometimes informative notes are also displayed in the Omni. It is a kind of mini-help.

Warning and error messages

While notes in the Omni are often self-explanatory and suggest a possible solution or procedure, this is not the case with stand-alone error messages. E...... (Error), W...... (Warning) or hex codes such as 0x100747 are generally not the case.

If you press this button when a corresponding error message appears or press INFO you sometimes get an additional description.

Error code table

If only a cryptic numerical code appears, these are no help for the Stromer user and say nothing about the cause of the problem without a description. Unfortunately, Stromer does not provide a list of error codes.

In the following Error code table I have compiled error codes from various sources. They indicate what the error code can mean, how it came about and sometimes also the cause and solution.

The table is based on various posts in the forums and your input. You can add to the error code table as follows:

1. use the Registration form
2. comment on the table if you want to add or correct error messages.

The more feedback we receive, the more precisely we can interpret an error code and derive measures from it!

Analyze error messages

The fault memory

Errors are stored in the error memory (Service menu > Error List). However, there are also so-called 'volatile' errors that are deleted after a restart.

E 210110, for example, is considered a transient error and indicates that the 48 V output on the battery cannot be switched off. If you restart and the check routine runs, the error is deleted. In the case of the warnings, this would be W 200002, for example, which indicates that the battery temperature is too high. If this drops again, the warning disappears.

Check components

Error messages always have a cause. Where this lies can be determined using the System Integration Test (SIT) can be determined.

How does the Stromer mechanic proceed?

1) He knows in advance what is causing the fault and repairs it.

2) If he does not know, he will open the service menu, consult the fault memory in the service menu and, if necessary, run the SIT Test Runner.

Stromer provides dealers with detailed fault flow diagrams for fault analysis. These make it possible to determine the faulty component using a process of elimination.
