Problems with the display

Problem list:

The Stromer OMNI displays work on a capacitive basis. The following problems can occur with the display:

  1. Noisy display
  2. Display white
  3. Display with errors
  4. Display input difficult
  5. Display input shifted
  6. Display freezes after update (white display)

Point 1, 3, 5:
Check the plug connections of the display in the OMNI. To do this, it must be removed and opened. If everything is OK, the display is defective. This is not available to buy separately. Stromer does not carry out repairs. The entire Omni must be replaced.

Point 4:
It may help to clean the display with a window cleaning agent.

Point 2 & 6:

  1. Press the on/off button on the underside of the top tube for 15 seconds. This switches the Stromer off (hard shutdown). Restart the Stromer.
  2. Unlock the OMNI app via the Stromer. Then press the on/off button on the down tube again for at least 15 seconds. Start the Stromer.
  3. Connect the charger. When the EJECT symbol appears on the display, you can remove the battery. Then reinsert the battery and restart the Stromer.
  4. If all attempts are unsuccessful by then, you must go to the dealer. They can remove the battery via the emergency opening. If the display remains white even after this attempt, the Omni must be replaced.

Update:

With the SUI FW 4.3.4.1 from the 11.06.2021 the bootloader of the OMNI Interface B & C was updated to version 2019.01 (previously 2016.11). This fixes a bug which meant that the OMNI could no longer be started after an update.

With the SUI FW 4.5.0.3 from the 05.03.2025 a bug was fixed which led to a "white screen" (completely white display).

TIP: Occasion Omni are offered on relevant sales portals such as Ebay, classified ads, Ricardo etc.. You have two options when buying:

a.) Display replacement: Requires technical/electronic knowledge, otherwise you invest twice.

b.) Omni exchange: See Instructions under LINKS & VIDEOS

The new Omni must be registered with the dealer or myStromer AG on your own Stromer.
