Protective measures
As of Omni firmware SUI 4.2.2.1 (5.12.2019), the system checks whether the 48V output can be deactivated when the Stromer is switched on. If deactivation is not possible, the following message is displayed in the Omni:
With the battery firmware 2.54, rolled out with FW SUI 4.2.2.1 from 5.12.2019, new protective measures were introduced for the BQ814 and BQ983 batteries. They permanently deactivate the battery in the event of a short circuit at the 48V output. The following message appears in the Omni:
In this case, the Stromer can no longer be driven.
Causes
The cause is usually a short circuit in the 48 V vehicle electrical system. The following components are possible:
- MCU (Motor Control Unit)
- Distribution Board
- Lighting
- Battery
- cabling, here specifically the wicket cable). The wicket cable connects the battery compartment to the motor controller (MCU).
Solution of E 210102 & E 210109
The battery must be returned to the dealer for inspection. The problem can usually be solved with a Reset the BMS protection circuit be repaired. To do this, the battery must be sent to myStromer AG.
