E 210410 | Charging not possible

Error

Red LED (error) during CR246 lights up, battery cannot be charged in the Stromer.

Cause

The reason may be the charger, controller, battery or contact problems.

Charging the battery in the Stromer with the CR245 / CR190 charger is only supported for models with the EDS MCS controller from FW SUI 4.4.3.10 (20.11.2024). You can find out which controller is installed in the Omni: MENU > SYSTEM > ABOUT.

Troubleshooting

Can you charge the battery outside the bike?

Yes: The controller, the charging socket on the top of the down tube and the charging socket in the battery compartment could be the problem.

No: The battery or the charger are the problem.

Solutions

to Yes: The sockets/plugs are magnetic and attract the smallest metal particles. Clean them with a lint-free cloth or compressed air. Do not use contact spray/grease or the "all-purpose weapon" WD40 Multifunction Smart Straw.

to no: Controller via the Service menu test. If it is OK, the charger or the battery is the problem. Both can be checked with the SIT test or in the service menu.
